Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 5 November 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of www.sortedbranding.com (the “website”) and to the services provided by Sorted Branding (“Sorted Branding”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Please read them carefully.
1. Accepting these Terms
By using this website, contacting us or working with us on a project, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
If you accept these Terms for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are allowed to do so on its behalf.
2. About us and our services
Sorted Branding is a branding and packaging design studio based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Our services include:
- brand strategy;
- naming;
- brand identity design;
- packaging design;
- website design and development;
- CGI, product videos and other marketing content.
The descriptions of our services on this website are general. The exact scope of each project is set out in its proposal.
3. Proposals, quotes and scope
- Every project is based on a written proposal, quote or agreement that sets out the scope, deliverables, timeline, revision rounds and fees.
- A proposal becomes binding when you accept it in writing (email is fine) or make the first payment.
- Each project is governed by its signed proposal or agreement. If anything in it is different from these Terms, the proposal or agreement takes priority.
- Work outside the agreed scope, including extra revision rounds, is quoted separately and starts only after you approve it.
- Quotes are valid for the period stated in them.
4. Fees and payments
- Fees, the payment schedule and payment details are set out in the proposal and in our invoices.
- Applicable taxes are charged as shown on each invoice.
- Payments are due by the date on the invoice. If a payment is late, we may pause work, and the timeline will move by the same amount of time.
- Third-party costs, such as printing, stock images, font licences, domains or hosting, are not included unless the proposal says so.
- Fees for work that has already been done are not refundable, unless the proposal says otherwise.
5. Your responsibilities
To help us do our best work, you agree to:
- give us accurate and complete information, and the materials and access we need, on time;
- give feedback and approvals within the agreed timelines (delays in feedback will move the delivery dates);
- make sure you have the rights to any material you send us, such as text, images, trademarks and fonts, and that our use of it for your project does not break anyone else's rights;
- check final artwork carefully before you approve it for print or production, including spelling, prices, barcodes, ingredients, product claims and any legal or regulatory information required on your packaging;
- get your own legal advice on whether a brand name or brand mark can be used and registered as a trademark. Any checks we do are preliminary and are not legal advice.
6. Ownership of the work (intellectual property)
- Final deliverables: once all fees for a project are paid in full, ownership of the final approved deliverables passes to you. Until then, all rights in the work stay with Sorted Branding.
- Drafts, concepts and working files: concepts you did not choose, drafts, sketches and working or source files stay the property of Sorted Branding, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Third-party materials: fonts, stock images and other licensed materials are covered by their own licences, which you may need to buy in your own name.
- Your materials: anything you give us stays yours. We use it only for your project.
- Our portfolio: we may show completed work on our website, social media, award entries, publications and presentations, unless we agree otherwise in writing. If your project needs to stay private, for example until launch, tell us and we will agree it in writing.
7. Confidentiality
We both agree to keep confidential any non-public information we receive from each other, such as business plans, product details, pricing and launch dates, and to use it only for the project.
This does not apply to information that is already public, that the receiving party already knew or developed independently, or that must be shared by law. This duty continues after the project ends. If we sign a separate non-disclosure agreement, that agreement takes priority.
8. Using this website
- All content on this website, including text, design, graphics, images, videos and case studies, belongs to Sorted Branding or to our clients and partners, and is protected by copyright and other laws. Brand names and trademarks shown in our work belong to their owners.

We work hard to keep the website accurate and available, but it is provided “as is”. We do not promise that it will always be error-free, uninterrupted or free of viruses.
Results described in our case studies relate to those specific projects. We cannot guarantee that any brand, product or campaign will achieve particular sales or business results, because these depend on many factors outside our control.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law:
- we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of profit, revenue, business or data;

- we are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, power or internet failures, or government action.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
12. Ending a project
- Either of us may end a project as set out in its proposal or agreement.
- If the proposal or agreement does not say how, either of us may end the project by giving written notice (email is fine).
- If a project ends early, you pay for the work done up to that date and for any costs already committed. Ownership passes to you only for deliverables that have been paid for in full.
- The sections on ownership, confidentiality, payments and liability continue to apply after a project ends.
- We may restrict access to the website for anyone who breaks these Terms.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms, and any proposal or agreement with us, are governed by the laws of India. If a disagreement arises, we will first try to resolve it together in good faith. If we cannot, the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India will have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date they are published and do not change proposals or agreements that have already been signed.
